position overview

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on and experienced Senior Event Coordinator to join the extreme cashmere team. In this pivotal role within our growing company, you will take charge of organizing our sales and marketing events, overseeing and executing every logistical and operational detail to ensure smooth execution. 

This position requires a balance of creativity, meticulous organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, as you will ensure that each event runs seamlessly from start to finish. 

The job requires you to take the lead, maintain a clear overview of all ongoing events, stay in close contact with vendors, and take a hands-on approach to organizing the event from start to finish.

key responsibilities

event planning

  • defining the event objectives: understanding the goals and determining the purpose and scope of the event.
  • overview on all running events: multiple events will be running at the same time, with different stages of progress. It's important to always be aware of the status of each event and make sure all events are progressing simultaneously. 
  • developing the event plan: outlining all necessary steps and creating a detailed timeline, including deadlines for various stages of planning.
  • budget management: creating a budget that includes all event costs, from venue hire to travel costs, and ensuring the event stays within financial constraints.

logistical coordination

  • event scheduling and timelines: creating a detailed timeline for the event day(s), including the setup, event flow, and teardown process. Including travel schedules for the team members. 
  • travel and accommodation: booking tickets (train and flights) for the traveling team members, as well as looking for suitable accommodations and arranging the booking. 
  • vendor coordination: researching, hiring and communicating with vendors (caterers, decorators, rentals, florists, etc.) to ensure contracts are signed and timely deliveries and setup are met with the deadlines.
  • equipment and supplies: ensuring all necessary equipment (lighting, seating, etc) is procured and in place before the event. 

financial management

  • tracking expenses: monitoring all financial aspects of the event, from vendor payments to on-the-day costs, and ensuring everything aligns with the budget.
  • negotiating contracts: managing contracts with vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring favorable terms for the client.
  • post-event financial reporting: completing a final budget report to assess the financial success of the event.

event execution

  • (on-site) supervision: overseeing event setup and breakdown, making sure that everything is in place before the event starts and managing the teardown after the event.
  • coordinating event flow: managing the schedule on the day of the event.
  • problem-solving: handling last-minute issues, such as equipment malfunctions, staff shortages, or changes in the schedule, with quick and effective solutions.

post-event activities

  • debriefing and reporting: conducting a post-event analysis with the team, discussing what worked and what can be improved for future events.
  • closing admin: finalizing payments and completing any remaining administrative tasks.

The role will primarily be located in our Amsterdam office with some travel. We work most days in the office, and encourage close collaboration, though we often work while traveling and have a relaxed office culture.

qualifications

  • minimum of 5 years of relevant event event management experience, preferably within luxury (fashion) houses.
  • fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • quick decision-making and troubleshooting under pressure.
  • ensuring events are completed on time and within budget.
  • very well organized and detail - oriented.
  • proficiency in project management tools like Monday, Asana, Excel and Google Drive.

About the Role: As the B2C/E-commerce Manager at Extreme Cashmere, you will lead the strategic growth and optimization of our direct-to-consumer sales channels, with a focus on scaling our e-commerce performance. Your expertise will help us elevate our online presence, optimize the customer journey, and drive revenue growth. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement to ensure seamless e-commerce operations and campaign success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to grow B2C sales, increase online engagement, and drive revenue across digital channels, focusing on e-commerce.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of our Shopify platform (front and backend), ensuring product availability, accurate data, and an optimized user experience.
  • Continuously improve the website's performance by analyzing traffic patterns, conversion rates, and implementing enhancements.
  • Manage product launches and ensure alignment across digital and physical retail channels.
  • Develop and implement omnichannel strategies to bridge online and offline sales, ensuring a cohesive customer journey.
  • Optimize SEO strategies and oversee performance marketing initiatives, including Google Ads and Meta campaigns, to increase visibility and sales.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create and deploy targeted campaigns for both customer acquisition and retention.

Profile and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree / Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably in the luxury fashion or retail sector.
  • Proven success in scaling e-commerce channels, increasing conversion rates, and driving revenue growth.
  • Extensive experience with Shopify (preferred), SEO, paid marketing strategies, online advertising, and web analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of omnichannel strategies, including integration between digital sales channels and physical points of sale.
  • Hands-on mentality with excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience managing a small team and fostering a positive, high-performing work culture.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch proficiency is a plus).
  • Resides in the Netherlands and can work from our Amsterdam office daily.
